One thing a lot of Americans don’t know about France is that while only a limited number of Americans can speak French, a vast majority of French people know English. This gives them a good hint of knowing when they are insulted by Americans (who don’t even realize). A warm welcome is a good thing, but when it is not so welcoming for the tourists, you know there is tension in the midst.

America did a film, Innocence of Muslims, that they released back in 2013, and the contents that were portrayed did not sit well with the people of Tunisia. They were so upset to the point where they banned the movie from being aired in their theaters or even on any of their TV stations. The films did a great lot that caused close to 50% of Tunisians disliking America and its people.
